Shotcut crashing9/24/2023 ![]() ![]() You need to take this shortcut to get the T in this track's CTR Challenge. ![]() Jump off the left side of the top step to land on a roadway with Wumpa Fruit on it. There will be a series of steps that drop down underneath the start of the track, with a Turbo Pad on right side at the top of the steps. The third shortcut is right after the first. From here you can Power Slide back down onto the main track, or jump much more left to land onto Shortcut #3. Jump through the gap at top speed to land on the pillar with Papu Papu's face on it. ![]() When you get to the corner at the end of the first Piranha Plant section, you'll see a wall with a gap in the middle. Taking shortcuts #2-4 on this track in a single race will unlock the " Pyramid Parkour" Trophy. The catch is that ? Crates are scarce leading up to it, so if you intend to take the shortcut and get a weapon that can open it, you should hold onto it until you get to the shortcut entrance. The golden wall will retract to reveal a corner-cutting tunnel when damaged, so you can hit it with Bowling Bombs and Masks, or thrown Potions and Power Shields. After coming out of the first tunnel, at the bottom of the slope on the left wall will be a giant stone head with a flat section underneath it made of gold. ![]() Taking this second, much easier shortcut will unlock the " Let me in!" Trophy if you use it. As you head towards the first tunnel, hop four times to mitigate the grass slowdown, then start Power Sliding to build up your Reserves again and maintain Sacred Fire. If you do have Sacred Fire and Reserves, jump left from the start line into the grass, then pull a mid-hop U-Turn around the corner of the wall. Hop rapidly three times to mitigate the grass slowdown, then enter a Power Slide to build your Reserves back up. Jump off the left side of it onto the third hill, then jump back into the grass towards the first tunnel. Grab your Power Slide Turbos and aim for the second dirt hill on the main course. If you don't have Sacred Fire and lots of Reserves, jump left from the start line to land in the grass and start Power Sliding. It does however require a different approach depending on if you have Sacred Fire and a lot of Reserves. The first shortcut in Tiger Temple is for expert play, as it requires good knowledge and skill with grass hopping to prevent slowdown while also keeping your Reserves in tact. If you're falling behind and have a Mask Power-Up, this shortcut is very effective! You'll want to hop through the grass as you go up the hill, as this mitigates the grass' slowdown effect. The second corner from the start of the track can be cut if you have a Turbo Pickup to power through the grass, or can use powerful Power Slide Turbos.Ī better shortcut to take however is to go through a path up the hill between the giant pink flower bulbs: search for it in Time Trial mode and practice Power Sliding into it for best effects. As such, this shortcut is great for those at the back who are more likely to get Masks.įrom there the shortcut will go over a walkway and into a U section as it drops you off just past the giant rolling barrel, but this is not the fastest route! Drive off the right-hand side of the walkway before you get to the U section and you’ll save even more time. This route is very tricky however as it’s quite narrow, and you’ll need to use a Mask Pickup to power through the dirt. If you're traveling at high speed, the fastest way through is actually to hop as soon as you hit the dirt, then start Power Sliding.Īt the second turn of the track, just after the first pool with turtles in it, you can take a quick shortcut on the inside of the turn through the stalactites. While this track may not appear to have any shortcuts, the very last turn of the track through the skeleton can actually be bypassed by jumping left off the ramp preceding it and Power Slide Turbo-ing through the dirt! If you’re fully Juiced Up you should always take this route, as you don’t need the Bounce Crate found on the route through the skeleton. This bypasses going under the wooden bridge, and if you’re doing the CTR Challenge, you’ll need to get up here in order to find one of the letters. This will allow you to Hop off of the shoreline and make it up to the top of a small grassy cliff. Jump off of it and land in the lake going left, after which you’ll get a Hang Time Turbo on the landing. Early in the race will be a wooden ramp just before a small lake. The very first track in the game, Crash Cove, has a surprisingly tricky shortcut. Taking this Shortcut will get you the " Puddle Hopper" Trophy. ![]()
